President's Spring Message

For 2024, your Board of Directors are planning a year of fun and celebration. It is our club’s 50th anniversary.

Our Spring Launch is April 21, 2024. It will be held at a new venue, Farmstead Golf and Country Club, Lafayette, NJ. Please get your reservations to John MacKenzie before the April 11th deadline. You do not want to miss this event!

We will be displaying Mike Schillizzi’s 1959, 20 ft, Chris-Craft, Sportsman (Cody-Brooke) at the LHF Block Party. It is Saturday, May 18, 2024. Be sure to visit our booth. We will be giving out free popcorn!

Our first Cruise Night is May 23rd. Our 49th Boat Show is June 14th and 15th.  We have our August seafood dinner, our Annual Dinner and, hopefully, some workshops in between. Barbara Edwards and Mike Smith are planning our Commemorative Gala, celebrating our 50th year as a club. If you would like to help Barbara and Mike plan this event, please contact Barbara (973-722-0794) or Mike (973-534-3811). They will be happy to hear from you!

It is now time to start thinking about getting our boats in the water and going for a ride! Warm weather will be here soon. The lakes are full. As the name on the transom of Dan Dyrness’ 1939 Century reads, “Life is Good.”
